Washington-based queer, trans, polyamorous, and kink affirming teletherapy
If you are looking for a therapist with a warm and conversational approach who welcomes humor alongside the deep emotional work of therapy, we may be a good fit. I come alongside adults and relationships to support you in your healing and connection mainly through the lens of Attachment Theory, Psychodynamic therapy, and Internal Family Systems, but most importantly, I pull from many wise teachers to find what works for you.

INDIVIDUAL THERAPY
I work with individuals that struggle with loneliness, self-consciousness, abandonment trauma, self-doubt, general unhappiness, feelings of meaninglessness, or who find it difficult to take care of themselves. I help my clients process heartbreak, support them in ending a relationship, explore options within current relationships, and learn skills for improving any relationship. Many of my clients desire companionship, but find it painful or uncomfortable to reach out vulnerably to friends, family, partners, or potential romantic partners.
If you are looking for therapy as a therapist yourself, I enjoy, am honored to, and am experienced in working with therapists and others in helping professions.
RELATIONSHIP THERAPY
My clients come to therapy with anxiety, sadness, feeling disconnected from their partners, and confusion about next steps for their relationship due to disagreements, damaged trust, and big life changes. They often find it difficult to access self-compassion, compassion for one another, and to express their needs in their relationships without it leading to conflict or feeling rejected. Many of the clients I see in relationship therapy are working to heal from infidelity or are simply trying to understand why their relationship changed, and why it feels less connected, simple, and loving than it did initially.
I work with long-term relationships, relationships “on the brink” and clients exploring options before making separation-related decisions, couples working toward ethically opening their relationship, couples with sexual desire discrepancies, separating couples looking to do so respectfully, early relationships examining compatibility for a long-term commitment, and premarital couples wanting to establish positive patterns.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
DO YOU OFFER IN-PERSON OR ONLINE THERAPY ONLY?
I hold sessions online only using a HIPAA-compliant platform called Simple Practice.
WHAT TECHNOLOGY DO I NEED FOR ONLINE SESSIONS (TELETHERAPY)?
• A device that connects to the internet and has a camera and microphone (most laptops and tablets have this built-in). Headphones help to reduce feedback.
• It is strongly preferred you use an ethernet connection as opposed to a wi-fi connection to maximize internet efficiency. Connected via phone data tends to be the least stable connection.
• You will need to be in a quiet place without distractions.
CAN YOU MEET WITH ME IF I RESIDE OR VACATION OUTSIDE OF WASHINGTON STATE?
As I am licensed in Washington state, I am able to see anyone residing in Washington, but cannot meet with clients who are not in Washington at the time of service, even if they are only out of the state temporarily.
WHAT IS THE CANCELLATION POLICY?
Please give 48 hours notice when canceling your session. Sessions canceled within 48 hours of their appointment time are subject to the full session fee.
DO YOU TAKE INSURANCE?
I am not paneled with insurance companies, however, I can provide statements for reimbursement (superbills) at your request. Should you submit a statement for reimbursement, your insurance company may partially reimburse you or not reimburse you. Please be advised, your health insurance company can request to review a treatment plan, therapy records, and your diagnosis. I am happy to talk through any concerns and questions related to statements for reimbursement and insurance.
DO YOU OFFER SLIDING SCALE OR REDUCED FEE SESSIONS?
Not at the moment. I reserve all pro bono availability for sessions related to providing gender-affirming surgery letters.
